Bladed Edge Between | Live Multimedia Poetry Performance

Bladed Edge Between is an immersive poetry and sound performance by Ruby Singh, created in collaboration with poet Hari Alluri and musician PIU. Rooted in diasporic memory, ecological resonance, and intergenerational healing, the work unfolds as a multilingual sonic archive of longing and belonging.

Structured through the emotional arc of Indian classical music ascending, descending, breaking open, and dissolving into silence, the performance merges spoken word, song, live sound, and projection into an embodied experience.

This is not a traditional reading but a living invocation, where poetry becomes vibration and memory becomes shared ritual.

BIO's -

Ruby Singh is a multi-award-winning composer, producer, performer, and educator whose practice spans music, poetry, film, and installation, exploring myth, ecology, justice, and speculative futures. He has been recognized with the Lt. Governors Jubilee Award, a JUNO nomination and multiple WCMA awards (Global Artist, Electronic Artist and Spiritual Artist of the year) for his work in art and music. Singh believes in art’s ability to reimagine futures, to repurpose aesthetic freedoms toward civil and environmental justice.

Piu is a musician, composer, and producer who adorns ambient soundscapes with hard hitting synth riffs, raga-inspired vocals, and global rhythms. Her sound blends genres, cultures, and identities—a reflection of how she moves in the world. Through both her studio practice and live performance, Piu invites listeners into carefully constructed spaces—sonic worlds designed for reflection, release, and listening.

Hari Alluri is an award-winning poet, editor, performer, and facilitator whose work appears widely in anthologies, journals, and online. Author of Tabako on the Windowsill (Brick Books), The Flayed City (Kaya Press), and chapbook Our Echo of Sudden Mercy (Next Page Press), his collaborations energize local through international and beyond.

All Saints ‘After Dark’ is a series devoted to music that feels personal, adventurous, and alive in the moment.
