September 2021 update to the Parishioners of the Anglican Parish of Salt Spring Island,

In keeping with the mandate given it by Parish Council to make a final report by St. Michael and All Angels, the Parish Renewal Task Force presents this report to you (click here).  We have called it the final report because that is what we were asked to provide, and it is the end of this phase of renewal.  But, it is by no means the end of renewal which can never end in order to do God’s work and be a blessing to our community.  As Winston Churchill said in the dark days of the Second World War:

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is,
perhaps, the end of the beginning.

Our work begins now, and it involves us all.  We ask you to review this report. Contemplate and pray over the directions it suggests.  And decide how you will engage to work on the renewal of our parish.  Parish Council will be reviewing this report at its October meeting.  Shortly after that, there will be meetings for the entire parish to contribute to charting a route forward.  We look forward to working with you.

Messages can be sent to the Taskforce at parishrenewal@saltspringanglican.ca.

The Task Force is charged with making recommendation on the parish's return to operations as the restrictions in the pandemic lift to ensure that we embody the love of Christ on Salt Spring. We seek to be:
