Stewardship is a core Christian practice rooted in scripture and is our faithful response to God's love and grace freely given to us.  The Anglican Church of Canada's approach to stewardship is summarized here

There are several ways in which we can contribute financially to the work of our parish:

Cheque or Money Order

Cheques or Money Orders should be made out to the Anglican Parish of Salt Spring Island.  The can be physically placed in the offeratory plate during Sunday worship services, sent by mail to the Parish Office, or placed in the mail slot to the left of the downstairs main office doors.  Receipts will be issued by the Parish for tax purposes.

Regular Numbered Envelope Donations

Those wishing to make regular donations by cash or cheque and in order to receive an annual receipt for tax purposes may request a box of weekly envelopes through our Envelope Secretary or by contacting the Parish Office.

Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR)

If you are making regular donations to our parish please consider making your contributions automatically using the pre-authorized remittance program.  Parishes in the Anglican Diocese of BC are using a low-cost facility administered by the United Church of Canada called Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR).  This program makes automatic withdrawals only once a month, on the 20th of each month. You can cancel or change this amount at anytime.

To enroll in the PAR program, or to change or cancel your contribution amount, please download and print the PAR Authorization Form - click on the red button below - or ask for a printed copy from the Parish Office.  Complete your personal "donor" information on this form.  We will add the correct “envelope number”.  Statements and tax receipts will be issued by the Anglican Parish of Salt Spring Island at the end of each calendar year.

Please send the completed form and a VOID cheque (or equivalent) with your bank account information to:

The Treasurer, Anglican Parish of Salt Spring Island
110 Park Drive, Salt Spring Island, BC V8K 2R7

Send, by post, by hand to the Parish Office during office hours, or dropped in the mail slot located to the left of the downstairs main doors.

Once registered, if you want to change your PAR amount, you can also simply email them at: rcambourne@united-church.ca and let them know your new monthly amount, the date for the change, your name and address, and the name of our parish.

Canada Helps

Another method to make your donation is through Canada Helps where you can use your credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, etc. Your tax receipt will come from Canada Helps - not from the Parish, but we will be informed from whom the donation comes.
