COLLECT OF THE DAY
God of the prophets,
whose word cuts through the webs of power
and holds the tyrant to account:
be with all who raise their voice
against oppression and misrule,
who are imprisoned and abused for freedom’s sake;
help us to stand and speak with them
and witness to your kingdom now;
through Jesus Christ, the name above all others.
Amen.

READINGS
2 Samuel 6.1-5, 12b-9
Ephesians 1.3-14
Mark 6.14-29
Psalm 24

BLESSING
May God
who clothes the lilies and feeds the birds of the sky,
who leads the lambs to pasture and the deer to water,
who multiplied loaves and fishes
and changed water into wine,
lead us, feed us, multiply us,
and change us to reflect the glory of our Creator
now and through all eternity;
and the blessing of God Almighty,
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
be among you, and remain with you, always.
Amen.
