Sixth Sunday of Easter, May 22, 2022

In person service held each Sunday morning at All Saints by-the-Sea.  All are welcome.

O God, our times are in your hand:
Look with favour, we pray, on your servant Ron as he begins another year.
Grant that he may grow in wisdom and grace, and strengthen their trust in your goodness
all the days of their lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

CONGRATULATIONS to Jim & Joan Warren in celebrating their 65th Wedding Anniversary this week (May 25)!
By the power of your Holy Spirit, pour out the abundance of your blessing upon this man and this woman. Defend them from every enemy. Lead them into all peace. Let their love for each other be a seal upon their hearts, a mantle about their shoulders, and a crown upon their foreheads. Bless them in their work and in their companionship; in their sleeping and in their waking; in their joys and in their sorrows; in their life and in their death. Finally, in your mercy, bring them to that table where your saints feast for ever in your heavenly home; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

WE REMEMBER the late Devin Metcalfe, who died six years ago on May 27, 2016 at age 91.
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. [Deut. 33.27]

Risen Christ, for whom no door is locked, no entrance barred:  open the doors of our hearts, so that we may seek the good of others and walk the joyful road of sacrifice and peace, to the praise of God, the Source of all life. Amen.

Glory to God, whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine. Glory to God from generation to generation, in the church and in Christ Jesus, for ever and ever.

Light looked down and saw darkness “I will go there,” said light. Peace looked down and saw war. “I will go there,” said peace. Love looked down and saw hatred. “I will go there.” said love. So he, the Lord of Light, the Prince of Peace, the King of love, came down and crept in beside us. And the blessing of God....

Go in peace; Christ is with you.
Thanks be to God.
