COLLECT OF THE DAY
Heavenly Father, your Son confronted the powers of darkness that obscure your compassion and love for all of creation: help us to use these days to grow in wisdom and prayer, so that we may witness to that saving love proclaimed in Jesus Christ our Saviour.  Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE

The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. (Psalm 145:14)

God of love hear the cry of those who yearn for love; fractured families, broken homes neglected, unwanted, alone. God of love ALL: hear our prayer  

God of justice hear the cry of those who yearn for justice; persecuted and oppressed, exploited, ill-treated, broken. God of justice ALL: hear our prayer  

God of peace hear the cry of those who yearn for peace; in battle zones and broken states, frightened, fearful, anxious We pray for the people and the leaders of Ukraine – Slava Ukraini – as they defend their homeland.  May God restore their peace soon. We pray for all the people in Russia protesting their country’s unjust and unprovoked aggression. We pray for the leaders of all the nations working to restore peace in Europe  
God of peace ALL: hear our prayer  

God of healing hear the cry of those who yearn for healing; physical and spiritual hurting, weakened, depressed Kathy Darling, Mark Fraser, Meg Hodges, Mark MacDonald and Virginia Sha Lynn, Don MacDougall, Josep Roch, father of Carles; Betty Rothwell, Ros & Mike Woolley, and Connie & Bob Wray.   We give thanks for all those who have died in the love of Christ. 

In this parish we especially give thanks for the life of Heather Lawler who died unexpectedly this week. 
Rest eternal grant unto her and may life perpetual shine upon her.  
Bring comfort and strength to Colin as he lives with such profound loss.  

I invite you all to name those who are on your heart or whom you know to be in need of our prayers.  
God of healing ALL: hear our prayer

God of mercy, Hear the cry of those who yearn for mercy; convicted, in need of your Grace, contrite, humble, bowed down, God of mercy ALL: hear our prayer  

I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live. (Psalm 116:1,2)

May we know The peace of God The love of God The justice of God The healing and mercy of God This day and all days Amen. 

DOXOLOGY
Glory to God,
whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine.
Glory to God from generation to generation, in the Church and in Christ Jesus, for ever and ever.  Amen. 

BLESSING
The love of the faithful Creator, the peace of the wounded Healer, the joy of the challenging Spirit, The hope of the three in One surround and encourage you on your sacred journey, today, tonight and forevermore. Amen.

DISMISSAL
 Go from this place with the cross on your hearts.
We will empty ourselves with Christ for the life of the world.
