PRAYER REQUEST for Mikaela Stolz, Brian & Marjie's granddaughter, is having migraines, and the family are concerned. She is to stay off work for a bit, be calm and quiet, eat regularly and get lots of sleep.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS to Deborah Smith (July 23).
O God, our times are in your hand:
Look with favour, we pray, on your servant Deborah as she begins another year. Grant that she may grow in wisdom and grace, and strengthen her trust in your goodness all the days of her life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Please let us know if you wish any blessings for next Sunday by emailing [email protected] Thanks!

Welcome & Acknowledgement

Gathering of the Community
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
be with you all.
And also with you.

Collect for Purity
Almighty God,
to you all hearts are open
all desires known
and from you no secrets are hidden.
Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts
that we may perfectly love you
and worthily magnify your love
through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Collect of the Day
God beyond all seeing and knowing, we meet you in the night of change and crisis and wrestle with you in darkness and doubt. Give us the will and spirit to live faithfully and to love as we are loved;
through Jesus Christ your Son.

Before watching the service, we invite you to read the lectionary first. The links below are the actual texts; you can use your favourite Bible or read the texts right here:
Genesis 29:15-28
Psalm 105:1-11, 45c
Romans 8:26-39
Matthew 13:31-33, 44-52

Prayers of the People
In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the team responsible for preparing the Lambeth Conference, which was due to be taking place now – please pray for them as they consider the implications of its postponement in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the Anglican Church of Canada, we pray for our Primate, Linda Nicholls, for our National Indigenous Archbishop, Mark MacDonald, and for the clergy and people of the Diocese of Edmonton and Jane Alexander, their bishop.
In our Ecclesiastical Province, we pray for the people of the Diocese of New Westminster and Melissa Skelton, their Archbishop.
In our Diocese, we pray for Logan, our Bishop, Ansley, our diocesan administrator, and for the people of the congregations of St. Christopher & St. Aidan in Lake Cowichan and Eric Stephanson, their priest.
And on our Island, we pray for the people of Our Lady of Grace and St. Paul's Historic churches and their priest, Father Scott Whittemore.
In our own Parish, we pray this week for the households of Ralf Waters, Simon & Janet Wheeler, Caroline Whereatt, Brad White and Nancy Wigen.

Glory to God,
whose power, working in us,
can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine.
Glory to God from generation to generation,
in the Church and in Christ Jesus,
for ever and ever. Amen.

The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace;
And the Blessing of God,
Creator, Healer, Bright Flame of Life
Be with you and remain with you always. Amen.

Go proclaim the love of our Triune God
Father, Son and Holy Spirit!
Thanks be to God.
